How a Rollins Property Owner Can Request a Ballot

Own property in the Rollins Rural Fire District, but are registered to vote somewhere else? You are still eligible to receive a ballot for the November 3, 2026 fire district election. Lake County Elections provided the enclosed Fire District Property Owner Ballot Request Form for this purpose.

  1. Complete the enclosed ballot request form Section A – For a nonresident property owner, check “Landowner voter”, also select the ownership type. Section B – Complete your name, mailing address (where you want ballot mailed), phone/email. Section C – Rollins property information, enter your Geo Code or Tax ID number, found on your property tax history (see section 2 below to access). In Section D, check “Mail ballot to the address in Section B.” Complete and sign Section E. If the property is jointly owned or owned by an LLC, corporation, partnership, or trust, follow the additional signature/authorization instructions printed on the form.
  2. Download proof that your property taxes have been paid Go to Lake County’s Property Taxes page (www.lakemt.gov/288/Property-Taxes) and select the link “Pay Your County Taxes Online Search (mtcounty.com)”. Search for your Rollins property, Lake County recommends searching by owner’s name. Open the property-tax record and save or print the tax receipt or property-tax record showing payment, the History tab shows this info. The County ballot-request form specifically accepts a tax receipt or County Property Information System printout as proof of payment.
  3. Email everything to Lake County Elections Attach (a) the completed and signed two-page ballot request form and (b) your property-tax receipt/printout to an email addressed to:

    Suggested subject line: Rollins Fire District Property Owner Ballot Request.

  4. Watch for your ballot and return it promptly Lake County Elections will begin mailing ballots October 9, 2026 (ballots are available for in-person pickup starting October 5). Your completed ballot must be received by the Elections Office by November 3, 2026. Do not wait until Election Day to put the ballot in the mail; allow adequate delivery time or use the return options provided with the ballot.

Please complete and email your request as soon as possible. Submitting early gives the Elections Office time to verify eligibility and mail your ballot.
