The Rollins Volunteer Fire Department, Chief Carey Cooley, and Rollins Fire Foundation leadership invites everyone to the October 17th dedication ceremony and open house for a new fire station at 21324 Big Lodge Road. The dedication ceremony is due to start at 10:30 a.m. with the open house to follow and continue until 12:00 noon.

The Rollins Volunteer Fire Department started in 1962 when three community members bought a used fire truck to protect homes along the west shore of Flathead Lake. In 1989, the Lake County commissioners recognized Rollins as a fire district. Today more than twenty trained volunteers answer every call on the West Shore and provide mutual aid across Flathead and Lake counties.

Between 2024 and 2025, the Rollins community, of roughly 550 households, was able to raise approximately $2.2 million to build the new fire station. The new station was funded entirely through private community giving.
